By now some of you are aware that I will be using the Assign By Web program. Most important piece of information for now - please continue to keep your QB updated until ALL assignors have access to the universal calendar.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! Please note the following - if I have previously assigned you games DATES using Quickbase, when you register on my site, PLEASE leave the DATE that I assigned you OPEN. If you do NOT do this, then I will be UNABLE to process your game ASSIGNMENTS.

Another important feature - if you have PREVIOUSLY registered on AssignByWeb.com with either Jay Lyons, Charlie Schaerfer or Chuck McNellis, if you are working in the Suburban Catholic Conference you MUST register with me since my website address is an https://scc.assignby.net site and those other sites are dot.com sites (you will be able to tell the difference just by viewing since the home page graphics are a bit different).

Once ALL assignors have a dot.net site than all will be required will be MAINTAINING one calendar. You will still have to REGISTER with each site in order for Assign by Web to link your name to various calendars.

When registering in the box titled User Type, this drop down will denote Official. It is NOT a box that denotes your occupation. Also note that this is a MANDATORY field so please select the Official designation.

CONTRACTS

You will receive your contract through the ABW program once you complete your registration! If you have been a previous user of the programs, it should not be too different.

SELF ASSIGN

Once I get all the games imported I will release the self-assign games on the site.

Continue to monitor both the ABW site and my www.ohassignments.com for information.

AFTER your registration, the system sends me a note and BEFORE you can receive your Password and User Name logon, I MUST approve the registration.

It does NOT happen automatically!

Since I am NOT always in front of the computer there may be some considerable lag-time B4 I approve you. Please do not assume you did something wrong AND register twice. That only makes it more difficult. If in case you registered multiple times I will ONLY approve the most recent. Please do NOT create more work for the Assignor and yourselves by registering twice.

Other Notes:

It has come to my attention that officials who use hotmail accounts are having a difficult time receiving their user names and passwords. Please note that I have approved those who have registered. If you have registered more than once I have deleted the 2ND registration.

While I am having ASW look into this problem, you might want to consider getting another free email as the majority of problems may not be ASW problems but rather HOTMAIL problems with either their firewall or spam blockers. Please investigate this issue with them as well because when your contracts are processed they will come on-line. If it is blocked the ASW system may NOT necessarily inform me.
